Sandy Paws Animal Hospital is a full-service veterinary hospital that provides preventative, medical, surgical, dental, and hospitalized care for your dog and cat. In addition to outpatient wellness visits and surgeries, we provide boarding for your feline & canine companions, as well as grooming for dogs by Wendy.
Dental care for dogs and cats is one of the most commonly overlooked areas of health care. In fact, an AAHA study showed that approximately two-thirds of pet owners do not provide the dental care that is recommended as essential by veterinarians. Dental disease can lead to more serious health problems including heart, lung and kidney disease. Your pet's dental health isn't just in the hands of your veterinarian, though. Pet owner education regarding treatment options for optimum dental health and the importance of home care are emphasized throughout the guidelines.

The benefits of digital imaging are numerous, providing a faster, clearer, more detailed picture that can be shared in real time with specialists and consulting veterinarians via the web. This enhanced imaging technology allows us to diagnose our patients more accurately and provide more immediate care.
Anesthesia is one of the most critical aspects of surgery for your pet. We take our commitment to you and your companion seriously and offer Pre-Anesthetic Blood screens to any patient to screen for anesthetic risks. Intravenous catheters and IV fluids are given at no extra charge to help keep your pet stabilize during the procedure and allow for immediate access to veins for the administration of reversal agents and medication for shock or pain. Warm water circulating pads and warmed fluid IV pumps help keep your special friend warm during procedures where they otherwise would loose heat. If you are a new client to Sandy Paws Animal Hospital/Wells Road Vet a pre-surgical exam is required before scheduling your pet's procedure.
